Checking In on Us
This was near the end of our 2016 around the country trip. Here we are in Georgia visiting Ken's side of the family. Just the three of us. Well, maybe the four of us because we ended up naming our travel trailer Mini.
We were in Georgia once again about three weeks ago. We hired a young woman to watch Olivia when we went to a family birthday party because near the end, she just didn't want to be alone. And I really didn't want her pooping in my sister-in-law's house, using one of her shoes as a chew toy, or biting the door knob in an effort to escape and hunt us down.
When we arrived home from the party about two hours later, the woman who'd been watching her, jumped up and said, "Your dog's OK now, but I think she had a panic attack when you left."
She was definitely a sensitive soul. Sweet and loyal to the end. Always right on my literal heels. The other night Ken woke up about 3 AM to have a glass of water. He startled when he turned around and the light was shining just such a way through the front window and into the kitchen illuminating a blonde colored chair to make him think Olivia was right by his side.
He swears it was an allusion, but it did make him startle. I swear it was our girl was just checking in on us.
