Fair Winds and Following Seas
I was feeling lonely and blue yesterday. Downright depressed. My husband is in Brazil. Today is his 68th birthday today and our 15th wedding anniversary. And, he has COVID. So I drove to the ocean and took a walk, high up on the cliffs overlooking the rocky coast of Maine I love so much. It is my home. There were very few visitors on the beach. Most were tanning or playing in the surf. But not me. I was walking and thinking and looking out at the expansive deep blue ocean, beyond the lighthouses that guard like a maritime melody. I glanced down to mind my step and spotted a crimson-colored beach rose looking wild and free. And then I heard the ladybug yelling at me. Trust in fair winds and following seas. Your husband will get where he needs to be.
